Visual Arts Instructor at Creativity Explored 2016-current

 -Instruct and facilitate various artists with developmental disabilities in many art forms and medium, adapting according to individual artist's need while also providing specific projects for each artist

-Create specialized and individualized projects for individuals with developmental disabilities

-Assist in many capacities in the studio. Tasks include developing projects with the artists, helping with specific techniques and maintaining materials

-Coordinate and conduct field-trips according to CE's protocols and facility rules and use the field-trips as learning tools for specific projects we are working on

-Previously acted a substitute Relief Instructor from March 2016 to October 2016 and provided assistance and instruction in the studio

Activity and Event Coordinator at Rhoda Goldman Plaza 2014-2016

 -Assisted with the planning, development, coordination and implementation         of  varying levels of activities for both the Assisted Living floor and the Memory Care Unit

-Coordinated and conducted field-trips ensuring that facility rules and protocols were followed

-Created specialized activities for both the Memory Care Unit and the Assisted Living floors, such as Group Dramatic Reading, Musical Theatre discussion, and Drama Exercises

Applied Theatre Practitioner 2009-Current

     -Facilitated a project for fifty teenagers using applied theatre techniques to create a more effective work environment and develop positive relationships (among other projects)

     -Head Facilitated and organized applied theatre Project 1 (November 2011) at SGCP (Self-Help Group for Cerebral Palsy) involving five   participants with various intensities of cerebral palsy with the outcome a week-long workshop with a performance and audience interaction at the end of the week

     -Facilitated and organized Project 2 (August 2012) (SGCP Centre) involving sixteen participants with varying degrees of cerebral palsy (severe mobility issues to non-speech) which culminated in a performance of four short plays and audience interaction

Volunteer at Creativity Explored 2013-Current

      -Assist in various capacities in the studio at Creativity Explored, an art studio/gallery  for                  adults with developmental disabilities. Tasks include assisting the artists with projects,                     cleaning the studio, and developing new projects

Office Manager at Sanchez Street Studios 2013

       -Organized and completed all tasks for daily operations of the studio, including scheduling appointments and managing emails and other communications

International Baccalaureate D.P. Theatre Teacher 2010-2012

-Taught and developed all required Theatre courses (HL/ SL) for the first students of the first IBDP school in Nepal

-Developed, organized and facilitated a two-year “Theatre for Service” group in IB, creating multiple projects for Cancer Awareness Day, at a home for sexually abused girls, at an elderly care facility, for fellow IB students and conducted two week-long applied theatre projects at the SGCP Centre

-Supervised all production elements of original play in the Pathashala College Theatre festival

-Planned, co-facilitated and led a devised creative writing and drama workshop with HMP Styal offenders (juvenile and adults)

-Planned and implemented multi-month ‘Introduction to Playwriting’ class at Sing Sing Correctional Facility with adult male inmates

-Acted as the facilitator’s assistant to the ‘Introduction to Acting Class’ at Sing Sing Correctional Facility with a different group of inmates
